The Checkered Flag Challenge, held alongside the American Speed Festival, brings local companies together for a high-energy day of racing, team building, and community impact — all inside the brand-new M1 X Center at M1 Concourse.

What is the Checkered Flag Challenge?

The Checkered Flag Challenge unites up to 72 companies for a thrilling day of friendly competition, team bonding, and purpose-driven fun.

Hosted during the American Speed Festival, teams go head-to-head in:

• Electric kart racing
• Racing simulators
• Slot car racing

All within the state-of-the-art M1 X Center. But this event is about more than racing.

Participants rally together to support M1 Mobility, helping provide safe, reliable, and affordable transportation to individuals and families in Pontiac, Michigan. Your involvement directly fuels life-changing programs that empower people to gain independence, maintain employment, and improve their quality of life.

• Session 1: 8:30 AM
• Session 2: 10:00 AM

Team Entry Fees

• 1–74 employees: $2,000
• 75–249 employees: $3,000
• 250–749 employees: $4,000
• 750+ employees: $5,000
